Stimulus Check Alert: 5 States Are Still Sending Out Payments

Find out if you qualify for a check.

During the COVID-19 pandemic and in the aftermath of the health crisis, stimulus checks were issued to nearly every American. The checks, funded by the United States government, were meant to provide relief from those economically impacted by the pandemic and to also help stimulate the economy as a whole. The majority of stimulus checks were phased out a long time ago, as the money dried up. However, some states still have a surplus in their budget and are issuing stimulus checks to this day. Here are 5 states where you may still be able to get a stimulus check.

Idaho is still sending out stimulus checks. By the end of the year, the Gem State plans on sending out 800,00 checks totaling $500 million dollars. Those who file taxes individually may be able to get $300 while joint filers are eligible for up to $600. If you lived in Idaho in 2020 and 2021 you are eligible. If you haven't received a check, track your payment at tax.idaho.gov/rebate.

They started sending payments out in September 2022, but it will take months before everyone receives them, according to state tax officials. How much could you get? $300 max for the property tax rebate, $50 for income for single people, up to $100 for couples who file jointly, and up to $300 for those with dependents.
