Prince Harry and Meghan's Future Takes an Unexpected Twist: "Year of Reconciliation"
The controversial couple is setting surprising new career goals, according to a new report.
In January 2020, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, shocked the entire world when they opted to walk away from their jobs as working members of the Royal Family and life in the United Kingdom and made their grand "Megxit." After taking a brief break from life in the public eye, the controversial couple spent a good portion of the next three years discussing their reasons for leaving royal life behind for a more conventional existence.
From high-profile interviews and a bombshell Netflix series to Prince Harry's shocking tell-all memoir Spare, the duo didn't hold back, airing the family's dirty laundry and revealing many royal secrets. However, according to sources, Harry and Meghan are taking a significant change of direction regarding their future in media.
Sources close to the couple told The Sun that Harry and Meghan are done attacking the Royal Family, and aren't interested in any more explosive interviews or tell-alls. However, it isn't because of any truce: They have run out of material. "That period of their life is over — as there is nothing left to say," an insider dished to the publication.
According to sources, Mehgan, who recently signed with Hollywood mega-agency WME is planning on exploring a new career path and was likely encouraged by her new representation to ease off the interviews.
A source told The Sun that 2022 was Harry and Meghan's "era of visibility." However, according to the individual, the couple hopes 2023 will be their "year of reconciliation" with Harry's family.
Other sources maintain that Harry and Meghan will focus their energy separately. While Harry will be primarily working on the Invictus Games in Germany, Megan is more focused on making her own mark in the United States. Journalist Petronella Wyatt points out that the former Suits star has been out and about in LA without her husband for a reason.
"Friends of mine who live near them are always bumping into Meghan at parties these days. She tends to leave Harry at home," she maintains.
"All they want to do is hang out with celebrities. I was at a party the other night talking to somebody about these people and it's just constant with them. She (Meghan) was texting the person I was with there. The point is they just won't stop these two," added Hollywood broadcaster Tim Dillon.
"They're like low-grade reality stars trying to attach to anything. I'm literally at the party and they are showing me texts of this woman begging people to like 'hang out,' she is trying to get places. It's sad. A lot of it isn't working, and they are rolling their eyes at me, LOL, and we are having a good laugh about this," he continued. "I respect the hustle I get what they are trying to do. A lot of people at this party were like we text her back, she's a duchess, but we've had enough."
