The first body language sign someone might send you is called "preening." He explains that this involves making themselves attractive to you.
Similar to primping, examples of preening include neatening hair and straightening clothes.
"Lightly scratching themselves" is another sign that someone is into you, according to Jacob. This is a "subconscious behavior people do when they find someone attractive," Jacob explains about scratching.
"When I first heard it, I thought, 'that cannot be real,'" he says about the first two points. "Then I started seeing people do it all the time. That has changed the whole game for me. Grooming builds social bonds, and that means a person wants to build social bonds with you because they find you attractive."
