New Evidence Surfaces in Murder of Cash App Founder
Tech millionaire Bob Lee was a participant in an underground party scene known as "The Lifestyle."
When Cash App founder Bob Lee was found stabbed to death on the streets of San Francisco, most people assumed that the tech millionaire was the victim of a random act of violence in a city with a soaring crime. However, as investigators began to look deeper into the victim's world and identified a subject, they realized there was a whole lot more to the story.
Now, a new exposé published by The Wall Street Journal dives deep into the world of Bob Lee, which involves an underground party scene filled with drugs, sex, and swingers.
The Wall Street Journal paints a picture of "The Lifestyle," the term insiders use to describe the hard-partying scene where recreational drug use and engaging in consensual adult relationships amongst tech billionaires is the norm. Both Lee and Khazar Momeni, the wife of a prominent plastic surgeon and sister of Nima Momeni, the man accused of killing Lee, were regulars at the parties.
Lee and Momeni were sleeping together, and friends feared that he was falling deeper and deeper into the dangerous lifestyle. And it was the relationship that investigators believe led Nima to confront Lee on April 4 and then stab him to death.
"There is still an understanding of consent and boundaries," Devon Meyers, a friend of Mr. Lee who saw him a few days before he died, told the publication, adding that if someone gets drunk and handsy, "they get excommunicated very quickly."
Friends maintain that Lee, a father of two who had separated from his wife, was the life of the party, casually using drugs to wind down and sleeping with multiple women, including Khazar. However, on April 3, at a party, Nima confronted Lee, demanding to know if he and his sister were "doing drugs or anything inappropriate," prosecutors alleged.
Hours later, Nima reportedly confronted Lee, which is when he stabbed him to death. According to court documents, around the same time, Khazar texted Lee to check up on him. "Just wanted to make sure you're doing ok Cause I know Nima came wayyyyyy down hard on you," she wrote. "And thank you for being such a class manhandling it with class. Love you…."

Some of Lee's friends and family have denied reports of Lee's hard-partying lifestyle. "He was a dedicated father. He was more mature than that," his ex-wife Krista Lee told the publication, denying he was a party boy and maintaining that she had never heard the term "The Lifestyle" before.
