Woman Offers $5,000 to Anyone Who Can Find Her Ideal Husband

She got 25 matches so far.

In not terribly shocking news, a woman in Los Angeles has taken to social media to find a husband. The twist: She's offering a $5,000 referral bonus to anyone who can point her to the guy. Eve Tilley-Coulson, 35, has asked her 100,000 TikTok followers to connect her with a marriageable bachelor. If the two actually walk down the aisle, she'll send the lucky matchmaker a $5,000 check.

"I Don't Have to Stay Married to Him For Long"

In a TikTok video that has racked up more than 550,000 views, Tilley-Coulson said this is a standing offer she's made to friends and her boss, but she was now opening up the sweepstakes to the "general public." "So the offer is if you introduce me to my husband and I marry him, I will give you $5,000," she said. "I don't have to stay married to him for long. I can get divorced from him in 20 years. It doesn't matter, but if you introduce to me a man that I walk down the aisle and get married to, I will give you $5,000."

The Requirements

In a follow-up video, the corporate litigation attorney listed her requirements. She wants her future husband to be between the ages of 27 and 40, like sports, be a good communicator, be at least six feet tall, be capable of witty banter, and have the ability to poke fun at her. The winning candidate will be drug-free, she added. But she has no preference in terms of their location or political or religious orientation. A long-distance courtship is possible.

"This Can't Be His Second Wife"

Perhaps because of the overwhelming interest in the contestant and the possibility of mischief, Tilley-Coulson's best friend, Lara Bahr, also a lawyer, joined another video to specify that in order for someone to receive the prize, a legitimate marriage certificate must be signed. "He has to be eligible," said Bahr. "That means he cannot be already married. This can't be his second wife."

25 Matches So Far, But No Dates

"A while ago, I told my friends I'd pay them $5,000 if they introduce me to my husband," Tilley-Coulson told the New York Post. "And I figured, why not open the offer up to TikTok?" So far, she has received about 25 digital introductions to potential mates. "I haven't gone on any dates yet," she told the news outlet. "But people are definitely motivated to help."

"Totally Worth It"

The prize is reasonable and a good investment, Tilley-Coulson said. "I've been single for about five years now, meeting people in person and on the apps," she told the Post. "But since COVID, there's been a weird shift in dating culture — guys don't approach you in person, and most of the men on apps aren't swiping to seriously date." "So I feel like paying $5,000 for a husband who's vouched for, meets my needs and is ready for a real relationship is totally worth it."
