Men and women go TikTok famous for a variety of reasons. One of them is sharing all of their diet and fitness secrets. There is a great amount of interest in what real life, normal people eat and drink in a day to achieve their weight loss goals, which is why What I Eat in a Day videos are hugely popular. Recently, a fitness influencer gained attention for revealing her pre-workout carbohydrate of choice, claiming that it helped her lose 105 pounds.
TikToker Ali Olson (@alimichelleolson) has a few hundred thousand followers on TikTok, where she shares videos about her diet and workout routine.
In one video she showed her followers what she eats in a day, surprising her followers with the one food she likes to eat before exercising. "I have lost over a hundred pounds. So let me show you what I eat in a day," she says at the start of the video.
"So I already worked out, but every day before I work out, I always eat something," she continued, revealing that it is "usually" a bagel. "I made some pumpkin bread for me and my kids, so I had a slice of pumpkin bread," she said
She also has pre-workout prior to exercising. "I use the Clean Simple Eats one. I freaking love it. This one is the Hawaiian Sunrise one, and it comes in little mini sticks, so you can take 'em on the go, but I also have a whole thing of 'em," she says, revealing she drinks three per day. "This is 40 ounces, so I try to drink one of these before I have breakfast."
Next she has her greens. "I always put a lemon in my greens and I love it that way. And I do the whole lemon. And then for my greens, I always do the clean, Simple Eats, peachy greens and their unflavored collagen. Like I said, they do have flavored collagen, but I like to be able to mix it with whatever I'm doing."
"For breakfast, I made me and my husband breakfast burritos," she continues, revealing that she fills a normal sized tortilla with eggs, Turkey sausage, seasoned hash browns, and cheese. "And it took me, I did it all in one pot, one pan, and it took me 20 minutes, maybe from start to finish," she said.
For lunch she makes a salad, using lettuce she chopped up earlier in the week. "There's some cucumbers, there's some celery in here. So I'll throw quite a bit of lettuce in the bowl. And then I was really lazy. All of my chicken or anything was frozen, so I am going to throw some of these real good little chicken nuggets on there. They are really high in protein and they're low in carbs, but I made a bunch of 'em. And then I'm just going to sprinkle some shredded cheese on top." Because she wants buffalo chicken salad, she tops it with Bolthouse Farms Ranch dressing, "and then I take a little bit of this buffalo hot sauce and put it in there. And then a little bit of lime juice and a little bit of garlic powder and mix it all up. And I just dump it on top."
"After I eat lunch, I always crave something super sweet, because that's just who I am," she continues. Her favorite is chocolate covered raspberries, which she keeps in her freezer. "They are so freaking good. And I can have one or two," she says.
In the afternoon she enjoys a pumpkin cream cold brew. "The recipe for this is in one of my previous videos, and it's so freaking good," she exclaims.
"And then for a snack, and to make sure I'm hitting my protein, I am going to have a protein shake," she continues, revealing that she adds a cup of Fairlife milk, which has 13 grams of protein per cup and a scoop of protein powder, ("a Clean Simple Cats chocolate brownie powder") and that the drink "tastes just like chocolate milk" but has a whopping 33 grams of protein.
For dinner she has protein and veggies, like "some sheet pan salmon and broccoli," she says.
