The Dawood family revealed that despite his fears, Suleman chose to join his father, Shahzada Dawood, on the dive as a gesture to honor Father's Day. The 19-year-old had expressed trepidation about the trip, but his desire to please his Titanic enthusiast father prevailed.
According to The Telegraph, Suleman Dawood had confided in a relative about his reluctance and feelings of terror concerning the expedition. The thought of exploring the depths of the ocean aboard the Titan submersible did not sit well with him. However, the trip coincided with Father's Day, and Suleman wanted to make his father happy, given his passion for the Titanic. Despite his fears, he chose to set them aside and embark on the journey.
