Man Fuming After Paying $100 for "Best Steak in the World" Only to Receive Tiny Portion
He took his gripe viral.
A Florida TikTok creator ordered a $100 steak at a local restaurant and was disappointed by the small piece of meat he received. So he took his gripe viral. Tampa-based Kidd Fresh posted a TikTok video in which he showed his disappointment at the luxe eatery's standard presentation. "Where's the rest of it?" he asked, seemingly stunned at the size of his three-digit entree.

"This Is the Good Steak?"
In the video, a server is seen bringing the order to Kidd Fresh's table. He lifts the lid of a silver serving tray, revealing another small dish with a cover to his customer's obvious confusion. "This is the good steak?" Kidd Fresh asks. The server affirms that it is.

Poster Takes a Bite, Shakes His Head
The restaurant employee then lifts the lid on the $100 order, revealing a small serving. "Wait, where's the rest? Do you see this? Where's the rest of it?" says Kidd Fresh. "That's crazy, that's not a steak." At some point soon after, acceptance sets in, as the video then cuts to Kidd Fresh lifting a bite of meat to his mouth as he says, "Bon appetit." He uploaded the video with the caption, "This can't be a $100 steak smh."

Social Media Reacts
Social media commenters were also sth. "The presentation along with the smoke was $100, the steak was just free lol,' said one commenter on Reddit. "You need to chew it slower to get your money's worth," another cracked. "Bro ordered a steak for ants," another joked.

Another Steak-Related Controversy Erupts on Social Media
As it turns out, social media is a hotbed of steak-related controversy. In March, one poster on Reddit's "AiTA" subreddit—where posters ask the public where they're unreasonable for their actions and beliefs, usually toward loved ones and friends—asked if he was off-base for refusing to buy expensive Wagyu beef to serve his in-laws, who only eat their steak well done. The poster's logic was that cooking high-priced steak so thoroughly would destroy any of its delicate flavoring, rendering it indistinguishable from other meat. So he purchases lower-priced meat to serve them during family dinners.

Do Unfancy Palates Deserve Great Steak?
"My mom and dad love food," wrote the man, posting as Late-Enthusiasm3751. "They will buy pounds of garlic and leave it in a rice maker for a month to make black garlic. They plan their vacations around amazing restaurants." But his in-laws have a more limited palate, he wrote. "Boiling chicken drumsticks is fancy for them," he wrote. "And they refuse to eat steak that isn't well-done."

No Need for Burnt Offerings
The man's discreet downgrading of his in-laws caused trouble with his spouse. "My wife says I'm being [expletive] by not treating both families the same," he wrote. "I don't think I should waste money on great food for them when I know how they will treat it." Most Reddit replies were sympathetic. "Honestly I do not see the point in paying for really expensive steak for someone who is going to want it served as burnt offerings," wrote Reddit user "OverRice2524" in the top-upvoted reply.
