Prince Harry and Meghan Markle "Want to Be in the Spotlight at Any Cost!" Claims Royal Expert

Meghan Markle's life drastically changed the moment it was revealed that she was dating Prince Harry. At the time, she was a relatively unknown actress on an American television show who rarely grabbed any headlines. However, overnight she became an international tabloid fixture and has been grabbing headlines ever since. In an interview with the Daily Mail, royal biographer Angela Levin slams the couple for accepting the Ripple of Hope Award, which will be presented at the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Foundation next month. Prior recipients have included presidents, politicians, Anthony Fauci, and Apple CEO Tim Cook. 

"Are they really up there with earlier award winners?" she questioned. "Whichever way you look at it, their alleged achievements seem fantasy laced with persuasion and who knows what else, rather than fact."

"Meghan and Harry have found it difficult to get close to A-list celebrities. They haven't received invitations to all the right parties so perhaps the next best thing for them was to get on award lists where A-listers abound," Levin continued. "Meghan especially is giving the impression they will stop at nothing to get to the top. She should be careful as it could all crumple."

Robert Kennedy Jr. also admitted in an interview with the Daily Mail that he was "bewildered" and "baffled" by the decision to honor the couple with the prestigious award. "I find it somewhere between sublimely ridiculous and blatantly ludicrous," added Professor David Nasaw to Yahoo News. "If you look at the people who have been awarded the Robert Kennedy prize in the past – Bill and Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Bishop Desmond Tutu – and then you have to ask what are Harry and Meghan doing here? What in God's name have they done to merit this? What percentage of Harry and Meghan's wealth is going to worthy causes?"

In the ITV documentary Harry & William: What Went Wrong? Robert Lacey, who wrote the book Battle Of Brothers believes that it all boils down to Mehgan's mission from the beginning. "Someone close to William told me William felt from an early stage that Meghan had an agenda," he says to the camera.

Royal biographer Penny Junor adds: "Harry and Meghan's approach is not just Californian, it's showbiz-y, celebrity. Our Royal Family are not celebrities. They are working members of a public institution. I was appalled by the Oprah interview. These are not statements that should be made for public consumption. This is the sort of thing that should happen in the privacy of a psychiatrist's couch."
