Disgraced Prince Andrew Lucky To Not Be Left "Homeless or Penniless," According to Insiders
Andrew could have been be left out on the street.
Ever since Prince Andrew was forced to step down from duties as a working member of the Royal Family, after his involvement in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal and allegations made that he sexually assaulted Virginia Giuffre, the Royal Family has pushed him further and further away. And, because he is no longer a working member of the Royal Family, he is being financially supported privately by the family's Duchy. In December it was revealed that his brother, King Charles, was even evicting him out of his office in Kensington Palace. "Any presence at the palace is officially over," a source told The Sun at the time. "The King has made it clear. He isn't a working royal. He's on his own." Now, according to new reports, the disgraced prince is fuming to friends that he is going to be left homeless and penniless.
Andrew Is Allegedly Worried He Will Have to Move Out of Royal Lodge
Per a new report courtesy of The Telegraph, Andrew is concerned that if the King tightens his budget he will have to move out of Royal Lodge by September, as he could not afford the maintenance costs of the property. Andrew is supported by the King's Duchy of Lancaster funds.
He Is Allegedly "Distraught"
"Andrew and Sarah are distraught they have been given such short notice. The Queen died only a few months ago," a source told Sun on Sunday. "He's not being explicitly kicked out but it's expected that he won't be able to afford the maintenance. Royal Lodge has a swimming pool, 98 acres of land and is already in need of some repair," a source said.
Budget Cuts Will Allegedly be Made Soon
Another added that the budget cuts will be made very soon. "They've been told their subsidy, vital for maintaining Royal Lodge, will be cut as soon as April."
He Allegedly Worries "His Brother Wishes to Evict Him"
A source added that Andrew is worried will be left out on the street. "It feels as though his brother wishes to evict him."
Senior Royal Has Allegedly Reportedly Joked About Kicking Him Out
"We will kick Andrew out of that house," a senior member of the Royal Family joked, according to both the Mail and the Sun.
Charles Is Allegedly "Telling Andrew He Can Use His Own Money to Pay for Things
However, another source said that it is nothing personal. "This is about Charles telling Andrew he can use his own money to pay for things. The same goes for other members of the family, such as Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. And while there is leniency with working members of the family, who have offices funded by the Sovereign Grant, there have been other examples."
