10 Unbelievable Facts About Taylor Swift's Private Jets
The star owns two jets, which are beyond luxurious.
Taylor Swift is worth a reported $740 million according to Forbes. And, after her Eras Tour concludes, she will likely hit billionaire status. Like many other chart-topping, jet-setting stars, you won't find Taylor flying commercial or chartering a private jet. She is the proud owner of her own jet – actually two! Here are 10 unbelievable facts about Swift's swanky form of transporation.
Taylor's primary jet is a Dassault Falcon 900. It features the identification number N898TS and has a 13 painted just in front of the main cabin door – Taylor's lucky number.
Taylor also has a Dassault Falcon 7X. It is also registered to SATA Inc. at the same address as her company, 13 Management
Does the ID number of Taylor's jet look familiar? That is because it begins with 89, the year of her birth, and ends with the initials TS. There is also an 8 in between, which stands for the number of No. 1 hits she had when she purchased the plane.
What does the inside of her jet look like? While Taylor has never shared photos, Dassault's website has a 3D tour of the 900LX model. Reclining leather seats with work tables and a couch underneath the cabin's starboard side windows are standard.
The Falcon 900, a 12-passenger plane, has a luxurious kitchen as well as a bathroom with a shower. It also has a private bedroom.
The jet features three Honeywell TFE731-60 engines, and can fly up to 4,750 nautical miles at an altitude of 51,000 feet, and a top speed of 87% of the speed of sound – about 667.5 mph.
The luxury plane also features Dassault's state-of-the-art FalconEye vision assist system, enabling pilots to see better at night and in poor weather conditions.
While it's unclear how much Swift paid for the planes, they were registered to her holding companies in 2009 and 2018, according to FAA data. Today, a new Dassault 7X costs about $54 million, while a new Dassault 900 has a list price of $44 million, Business Jet Traveler estimates.
Since March, Taylor's planes have spent nearly seven days worth of time, or about 166 hours, flying to and from her Era's TOur locations, according to data from aircraft-tracking website JetSpy.
The two planes have also taken a combined 103 flights since the start of the year — 86 of which have taken place since her tour kicked off in March.
